Italy - Umbria

Supplier: Colpetrone

Colpetrone is one of the most important producers in the Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG zone, making rich and deeply coloured wines from the ancient Sagrantino grape. They also grow Sangiovese and Merlot which are used in the Monefalco Rosso DOC. French oak barriques are used extensively in the maturation of the wine in order to give a toasty note and flavour to the spicy fruit of the Sagrantino.
