The Mombaruzzo area's ability to produce excellent wines is recorded in documents dating as far back as 1014. Giacome Sperone and his sons, Paolo and Antonio set up their estate and winery on the sunny hills of Mombaruzzo, with the aim of producing superb quality sparkling white wines and D.C.C. classical wines. They have certainly achieved this high standard and across the page is a selection of their finest wines on offer.

Neirano Barbera d'Asti DOC Riserva 'Le Croci'

Origin: Piemonte,Italy
Grapes: 100% Barbera
Tasting Notes: This is a fine example of a wine from selected Barbera grapes grown in the ancient vineyards of Le Croci. The wine undergoes a years ageing in oak to produce a rich, ripe style with soft fruit and balanced acidity. In a wooden box.
Food Pairing: This wine perfectly complements rich red meats such as game and strongly flavoured cheese.

Neirano Barbera d'Asti DOCG

Tasting Notes: Barbera D'Asti is recognised as the best of all the Barberas' grown in the Piedmont region.  It is produced from 100% Barbera grapes grown around the city of Asti.  This is a rich, opulent display of the Barbera grape now being realised to its full potential, a mouth filler with fruit characters and spice notes from wood ageing.
