Company Background: Azienda Agricola Provenza was established in 1967 by Walter Contato. Its name is derived from the Provencal origins of the Contato family.

Estate area: The Azienda Agricola Provenza estate covers an area of approximately 45 hectares.

Winery/ Bottling Facilities: The Provenza winery lies in the heart of the ‘Lugana’ zone about 1km from Lake Garda and the vineyards stretch across 30 hectares of cultivated clay rich land. The winery produces close to 400,000 bottles per year.

Expertise: The passion and tradition of winemaking at Provenza has been continued by the Contato family, taking them to the pinnacle of the local wine-growing community.

Awards Won: In appreciation of the quality of wines eminating from this winery, a number of highly prestigious awards, at national and international level, have been received.

Lugana D.O.P. CàMaiol

Origin: Lombardy, Italy
Grapes: Trebbiano and Lugana
Tasting Notes: : This superb white wine is produced from hand selected Lugana and Trebbiano grapes and takes its name from Cascina Maiolo, the vineyard founded in 1710. The wine has a characteristic straw colour with light green highlights, delicate bouquet of fresh fruit and almonds.
Food Pairing: The perfect wine to be served chilled with shellfish starters, creamy pasta and risotto.
Alcohol Content: 12.5% vol

Garda DOP Classico Chiaretto CàMaiol

Origin: Lombardy, Italy
Grapes: Barbera, Sangiovese, Marzemino and Groppello.
Tasting Notes: : Known as the "one night wine", since after pressing, the juice of the grapes are left to ferment with the skins for just a single night. A true Garda wine, Chiaretto is distinguished by its colour and delicate structure. It has an elegant, refreshing flavour with strawberries and spring flowers on the nose.
Food Pairing: This wine can be enjoyed with cold meats, especially poultry dishes, risottos and salads.

Lugana DOP CàMaiol “Molin”

Origin: Lombardy, Italy
Grapes: 100% Trebbiano di Lugana
Tasting Notes: : This award winning wine has achieved Gold medals in many prestigious international tasting competitions. Luminous straw in colour, with aromas of kiwi, lavender and fresh almond with a hint of mulberry flowers and mint. The palate is fresh with hints of yellow fruits, aromatic herbs and a crisp finish.
Food Pairing: The perfect wine to be served chilled with fish courses and medium mature cheese.

Garda Classico Rosso DOP CàMaiol “Negresco”

Origin: Lombardy, Italy
Grapes: Blend of Gropello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera.
Tasting Notes: : The name Negresco has taken from the famous provencal in Nice ‘Hotel Negresco’. This characterful red wine is produced from grapes grown in the Garda Classico denomination., such as Gropello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera. The wine’s distinctive structure, refined and rich bouquet and palate is as a result of its period of ageing in oak barrels.
Food Pairing: The wine accompanies roasts, braised meats, game dishes perfectly.
